CAVE training
Virginia Tech CAVE training:
With NCSA-EVL as a CAVE Partner Virginia Tech will first take advantage
of NCSA CAVE training programs. The first NCSA training program took place
on August 1996 as a two week course that was called the Visual Supercomputing
Institute - I (VSI-I). Jongran Lee, a Ph.D student in Interior Design attended
this program. Ron Kriz was in Japan the Summer of 1996 so he attended VSI-II.
Joan McLain-Kark, Dennis Jones, and John Kelso attended VSI-III. John Kelso,
Pranas Pauliukonis, Revathy Narasimhan, and Ferando das Neves attended
CAVE Boot Camp Training. Since then we have made efforts to create
our own training classes.
