VRCO Cave-Libraries
- The CAVELib API Version 2.6 is installed on the:
- CAVE(tm) SGI Power Onyx computer
- Immersa-Desk SGI computer
- Immersive Work Bench SGI computer,
- four SGI Octanes workstations in the Scientific
Modeling and Visualization Classroom (SMVC)
- Visual Molecular Dynamics VMD (opensource)

VMD is a NIH resource used for macromolecular modeling and bioinformatics.
VMD is an "open-source" molecular visualization program for displaying, animating, and
analyzing large biomolecular systems using 3-D graphics and built-in scripting. VMD supports
computers running MacOS-X, Unix (SGI-IRIX, Sun Solaris), Linux or Windows, is distributed
free of charge, and includes source code. VMD is installed on the Virginia Tech
CAVE(tm) SGI Power Onyx computer
- Visualization Toolkit VTK (opensource)

VTK was designed to work with DGL on the SGI Power Onyx CAVE computer and also the DADS CAVE
computer system. Mike Shore created the VTK link to the DIVERSE DGL API
(vtk4DGL).
